Meet Georgia - Centre Manager
Kia ora, my name is Georgia. I have worked as a qualified ECE teacher for the last 10 years both in Aotearoa and Australia. I recently completed further studies, gaining a Master of Education prior to starting at Grey Lynn Montessori as Centre Manager.
I value a holistic approach to teaching and learning, and believe that children’s social and emotional learning is paramount.
I have a passion for sustainability, yoga and mindfulness and look forward to integrating these practices into our curriculum. When working with children my main goal is to ensure they feel safe and secure in their learning environment, instilling confidence to learn and explore their individual interests and strengths. As ECE teachers we are here to nurture capable and confident life-long learners, which our team does incredibly.
Hi, my name is Annie.
I am a fully Registered Teacher with Montessori Training at Auckland University of Technology. I started my career at Grey Lynn Montessori in early 2016.
Childhood is the most happy, memorable and influential period in one’s life, which impacts on our later lives very much. I am lucky to be part of the Grey Lynn Montessori teaching team which provide me opportunities to facilitate and support our wonderful children to explore, to discover as they continue to proceed along their own unique learning journey.
Teaching young children is my passion. Being in Early Childhood Education for 29 years in Montessori schools thus far, I always find tremendous satisfaction, feel extremely humbled and privileged to be able to guide and direct children during the crucial first early years of life. I trained under the North American Montessori Centre where I obtained my Montessori qualification.
I speak Japanese, English and Tagalog. I have been married for over 28 years, have 3 teenage kids, enjoy cooking, sewing, singing, movies and the occasional get-together with family.
I believe that Montessori Schools provide the best possible educational foundation that a child can begin to have in their individual journey of lifelong learning.
My name is Lone, I am a qualified and registered teacher with over 15 years teaching experience. Teaching was not my first career choice, however I reflected on past teachers I had and the difference they made in my learning which inspired me to do the same for other children. As a teacher I am not only teaching children but am also learning from them. When I am not in the classroom I am enjoying time with my little family. I enjoy sports, music, reading and cooking which, by the way is still work in progress. Thank you for allowing me to guide and support your children in their learning.
Hi, my name is Maneesha.
I graduated from Maria Montessori training centre (AMI) with a Diploma in Montessori and Child Psychology. Currently I’m doing my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and Care at New Zealand Tertiary College.
I have a true passion for working with our youngest learners. Helping each child progress in all areas of their development is a challenge that I am honoured to accept daily. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment. I am proud to be part of the Grey Lynn Montessori teaching team!
